Ephraem Sibanda

Ephraem has more than 18 years’ experience and has acquired this vast diversified experience in finance and banking, insurance, actuaries & banking sector; manufacturing sector; mining industry; asset management; power utility; agro-based companies; sea farming; non-governmental organisations; communication sector; aviation industry; medical schemes; pension funds, hospitality industry, MFMA and PFMA public entities.

Ephraem as a previous member of IRBA: CFAS PSSC played a significant role in influencing the conduct of the public sector audits and he brings vast experience and leadership to audit of any public sector entity.

Ephraem trained as a Chartered Accountant with BDO before he diversified his experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers, then later at the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe and finally at Ngubane and Company Chartered Accountants. He was a Managing Director and EXCO member at Ngubane & Co. Chartered Accountants until August 2019. Before his promotion to a position of Managing Director, he occupied the roles of CFO and Assurance Leader at Ngubane & Co, for six years. Ephraem was promoted to Head of Assurance following a successful three years tenor as Risk & Technical Director and Head of Tax & Advisory. Apart from being a Finance Director of Ngubane & Company for 6 years, Ephraem also Acted as CFO of ELRC and he managed to oversee and coordinate a smooth AGSA audit process during his acting capacity.

He played a critical role in the operations of mining company, United Manganese of Kalahari (Pty) Ltd (UMK) as a Committee Member of Finance and Operations Committee before currently being deployed to provide governance oversight over the demand management of UMK as a member of Contracts and Purchasing Committee.
